As time marches on, no doubt more of these pickups will bite the dust and the value of this one will continue to increase. That means even though it’s a modern classic, there aren’t many of these pickup trucks kicking around today.
DODGE RUMBLE BEE PLUS
Solar Yellow accents on the door panels and center stack, plus white-faced gauges and Rumble Bee logos on the door panels/seats pump the design factor up.īuilt only for the 20 model years, the Dodge Ram 1500 Rumble Bee was limited to just 8,700 examples. There are two buckets and a fold-down seat in the center which converts into a console. You’ll notice the interior is completely original, including the Slate Gray leather seats with yellow piping. Just like all the other Rumble Bees, this one is a two-door model with a short bed.
DODGE RUMBLE BEE FREE
The soft black tonneau cover appears to be free of damage, boosting aerodynamics and giving the truck a clean look. Also, the 20-inch chrome wheels and flashy chrome exhaust tip add an upgraded look. This was a limited edition remake, and was only made available in 20 (Second Swarm). It bears the bumble bee stripe that is similar to the one that can be found on the old Dodge Super Bee, Charger, and Challenger. Of course, that Solar Yellow stripe on the tail and Rumble Bee graphics are dead giveaways something’s up with this truck. The Dodge Ram Rumble Bee is the truck remake of the Dodge Super Bee. The black paint has a great shine to it, indicating the previous owner cared for it closely. Those with a trained eye will note the front air valance and side skirts. If you look just at the front of the truck, that big hood scoop is one of the few indications there’s anything different about this Ram. It works with a smooth automatic, so you’re not dealing with a long stick in the cab. THAT IS FREAKING AMAZING and we totally take it for granted.Dodge dropped its 5.7-liter Hemi V8 in this truck, which is quite potent at 345-horsepower and 375 lb.-ft. It is no big thing, it is just what we do these days.

This guy made these dyno rips and presumably drove the thing out of the bay and back to his house. According to Tim Kuniskis, 'The 2023 Dodge Charger Super Bee aims to carry on that legacy by offering the highest-performance Charger Super Bee model ever produced.' Dodge further stated that the Super Bee will get the iconic 'Scat Pack' as standard equipment, meaning it will be powered by the legendary 6. Maybe I have been harping on this point too hard this week but c’amon. Outside of the massive intercooler behind the grill there does not seem to be anything pointing to the fact that this truck makes 1,000hp at the flywheel. Having just gotten off a few day stint with a boosted late model Hemi myself, I can personally speak to the bad assery that ensues when you start making that engine eat more than the atmosphere will feed it. This truck must really be a handful when the boost comes on.
DODGE RUMBLE BEE DRIVER
When the driver hammers the throttle here and really winds the truck up, it seems as though it is trying to take the dyno rollers and spin them into the next county. Packing a 392ci stroker late model Hemi and force fed by a pair of 76mm turbos, this truck is a legit monster and it all seems to fit under the factory hood. This truck is a completely different story. It wore a stripe package like the Super Bee of old, it was available in only yellow or black, and it kept the dimming light of the “sport truck” flickering when there were no other options out there.

While it had no real discernible performance parts on it outside of the big 20″ wheels, the attitude was right.

The Dodge Rumble Bee truck was kind of neat for its time.
